As I’m sure you’ve heard, we’re big Star Trek fans in my house and watch episodes of the original series every Saturday night while we eat pizza. So, I’m sending out best wishes to Leonard Nimoy, who starred as Mr. Spock. Nimoy was spotted recently in a wheelchair, and then announced that he has the lung condition COPD.

Nimoy says that he can walk, but just not long distances. He says smoking is to blame for his illness, even though he quit 30 years ago. Nimoy urges smokers to quit. “Grandpa says learn my lesson: quit now. LLAP.” For the non Star Trek fan, that means “Live Long And Prosper.”
