For most of us, taking a walk or chasing after our kids or grandchildren is just a simple part of life.
But, for folks with a lung disease, it’s a chore. To help raise money to fight lung diseases, this crowd is walking for air.
The “Fight For Air Walk” was held Sunday in Hershey. The walk was organized by the American Lung Association to continue the mission to save lives by improving lung health and preventing lung disease.
“Basically what we’re trying to do is bring awareness to all Lung Disease, because Lung Disease includes Asthma, COPD, Lung Cancer, anything that has to do with your lungs, its all included in Lung Disease,” says Tiffani Chambers, Developmental Director of the American Lung Association.
Money raised from the walk goes to support the American Lung Association’s advocacy and research programs. Their goal was to raise $45,000 at Sunday’s walk.
