Kwame Fiakpornoo and his staff welcomed dozens of friends, family, patients, and neighbors for free health screenings for cholesterol, diabetes and hypertension.
CobbWest Internal Medicine Associates, based in Dallas, hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony on Sept. 27, and a grand opening celebration and Wellness Fair on Saturday, Sept. 28.
Kwame Fiakpornoo (known as “Dr. Kwame” by his patients) and his staff welcomed dozens of friends, family, patients, and neighbors for free health screenings for cholesterol, diabetes and hypertension. Attendees also enjoyed free healthy snacks and giveaways, as well as tours of the new office facilities.
At the party, Dr. Kwame said, “My family and I are proud to be members of this communityand to be serving the growing populations of Cobb, Paulding and Douglas Counties. As our friends saw at the Grand Opening, we’re looking forward to offering preventive health strategies for local residents, especially those who are suffering from manageable diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, COPD and heart disease.”
He added, “CobbWest Internal Medicine clinic is accepting all major plans, offering competitive rates for uninsured patients, and welcomes Medicare patients. The staff is looking at other ways to assist patients as the AHA kicks in in January of 2014.”
Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, Dr. Kwame Fiakpornoo was trained in his native Ghana, in Vienna, Austria, and in Brooklyn, NY. He has practiced in multiple Acute Care settings, particularly at Redmond Regional Medical Center in Rome, GA.
