A dreadful discovery in a suburban Illinois neighborhood. 55-year old Elizabeth Lutz’s body was found Tuesday (1/13) evening buried under snow. A neighbor said, “”A neighbor that was shoveling. He noticed a dark thing that was in the snow. Figured it was a garbage bag.”

Her body was reportedly face-down in the snow along the parkway in front of the home she shared with her companion of 8-years. Her neighbor Annie Hall lives a few houses away, and said, “Right when I got there, they flipped her over. I’m like, oh my god. It’s Liz. I ran over to the house and said Rick! Liz is out here!”

Hall recalls Elizabeth’s fight against breast cancer, “She had breast cancer, she had COPD she had a lot of issues, but she just kept on trucking. She kept on being happy.”

Surveillance video reportedly taken by the homeowner shows Elizabeth leaving the home but the video has not yet been released. Police are still trying to piece together how she died, but they say there’s no indication of foul play. They’re awaiting autopsy and toxicology reports.
