Breathe Pennsylvania, a nonprofit organization, is offering free cold weather masks to residents of Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, Fayette, Greene, Indiana, Lawrence, Washington and Westmoreland counties.

The organization urges people who suffer from asthma, COPD or other respiratory conditions to use caution during dangerously cold temperatures and take advantage of the offer for a free breathable foam mask, which loops over the ears and covers the mouth and nose, providing a warm pocket of air.

Go to store.breathepa.org/collections/copd or call Breathe Pennsylvania at 800-220-1990 to order a mask.

Cold weather masks cost $5 for people outside the 10-county service area of Breathe Pennsylvania.
