The Muddy Mutt Run

Imagine blending an obstacle event like a Mud Run with a dog event like a Doggie Dash! Then add fun, dog-themed parks and obstacles such as sand, hay, air foam, tires and tunnels for all levels of fitness.

You choose whether to run or walk our 1.25 mile loop (a short cut is provided as an alternative). You choose how many loops, parks and tailgating you want to do, including which, if any obstacles, to romp and play. American Lung Association – Respiratory Rally

Join our Respiratory Rally: a free patient education event to learn more about managing chronic lung disease or helping a loved one.
This event led by local experts will focus on helping adults with lung disease learn the skills that will allow them to be active and independent, and improve their overall quality of life. Topics include: pulmonary rehabilitation, COPD research, Alpha 1, nutrition, and staying active. Lung disease patients will be equipped with local health resources, and acquaintances who live with similar lung diseases.

Washington Native Plant Society, Central Puget Sound Chapter

This is an annual sale of plants native to Washington, particularly the Puget Sound Basin. This year’s focus is plants for rain gardens. Over 200 species, from ferns to trees. There will be a speaker on rain gardens at 11; a children’s area; booths with environmental displays and information; and lots of free parking.

Please bring your own trays, boxes, or wagon/garden cart for easy shopping.

Courtney Marie Andrews will perform live at Taproot Theatre’s Stage Door Café during the Phinneywood Art Walk on May 9 from 6 to 8:30 pm. Andrews is an American singer/songwriter originally from Phoenix, Arizona. At the age of 17, Courtney released her first album. From there she took the musician life by the reins, touring around the world by Greyhound Bus, train and her station wagon. Between her observant lyrics, unique guitar playing and classic angelic voice, she has created a sound all her own.
Stage Door Café serves a variety of savory and sweet items as well as hot and cold beverages, espresso drinks, local beer and wine.
