October 15, 1955 – April 14, 2014

Mellodye Ann O’Harrow of Rotonda West, Florida went to be with our Creator and Sustainer peacefully on Monday, April 14, 2014 after a hard fought bout with COPD.
She was born October 15, 1955 in Roaring Spring, Pennsylvania to Martin L. and Gladys L. (Schoenfelt) Hoover.
She was a member of Community Presbyterian Church of Englewood, Florida and former member of Ward Avenue Presbyterian Church of Altoona, Pennsylvania where she served as a Deacon.
She graduated from Claysburg-Kimmel High School in 1973 and attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She worked in land sales development (Virginia, the Poconos Pennsylvania and Blue Knob, Pennsylvania). Later she worked for CBS affiliate WTAJ-TV Altoona in Marketing. She retired from there and created and operated Superstitches Craft business starting in 1995.
Mellodye was a lovely, sweet and talented lady. She was a very devoted wife and friend to Jim. She always had a smile on her face and a twinkle in her eye. She enjoyed crafting, sewing, painting, reading, fishing with Jim, acting, music and life in general. She will be sorely missed by her many friends who knew her as Mel.
She is survived by her husband of 28 years, James Clark O’Harrow of Rotonda West, Florida; 3 beautiful step children, Kelli Ann O’Harrow of Ventura, California, Jonathan Clark O’Harrow of Altoona, Pennsylvania and Adam Philip (Kelley) O’Harrow of Grantsville, West Virginia; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews; special in-laws, Chuck and Joanne Kahler and John and Arla Hilovsky.
