Patricia A Mims

Patricia A. Mims went on to be with the Lord on Jan.15, 2014, after successfully battling breast cancer and an even longer battle against COPD.

Pat was preceded in death by her Mother, Helen Fiene, Father, Albert Gordon Fiene, Grandmother, Rhoda Gash, Brother, Michael G. Fiene, Daughter, Angelique Lynn Mims, Daughter, Julie Mims Rogers.

Pat was born in Raytown, on Dec. 28, 1938 and graduated from Raytown High in 1956. Pat married Robert E. Mims in 1959 and they successfully raised six children. Pat and Bob celebrated 55 years of marriage this year. Pat was a long time California resident and returned to Lee’s Summit in 2003 to be closer to family. Pat was affectionately known as Goosie to family and friends. She got the nickname from her go-kart racing days in California when she was known as Granny Goose. Pat was a wife and mother to this large family and will be forever missed and remembered.

Pat is survived by her husband of 55 years, Robert E. Mims, Daughter, Melody King, Sons, Darin A. Mims and wife Cathi Mims, Christopher E. Mims and wife Charlyn Mims, Butch Mims and wife Laurie Mims. She is further survived by Grandchildren, Ryan Haddeman, Jill Stapleton, PJ Stapleton, Bobby Mims, Greg Schroeder, Brian Firebaugh, Jon Firebaugh, Chris Mims, Brad Mims, Moose Mims, Ashley Rogers, Brittany Mims, and Stacey Triebess. Pat is further survived by Great Grandchildren, Devin Haddeman, Brennen Stapleton, Taylor Firebaugh, Wyatt Firebaugh, Ayla Mims, Nathan Triebess, Braedon Triebess, and last but not least their dog, Gizmo. Pat had many nephews and nieces as well.
